Instructions

Try these instructions first. If they do not work for your version of Outlook try the alternate set of instructions below.

  1. Open Outlook and go to File > Options > Mail > Signatures
  2. Click New to create a new signature. Give it a name of your choice and click on the space reserved for a signature.
  3. Go back to the web browser page with your newly created signature. Click on that page to make sure it is the currently active application.
  4. Hit CTRL+a to select the contents of the webpage. It should look like you selected the entire signature.
  5. Hit CTRL+c to copy the signature.
  6. Go back to Outlook and in the large right hand box for your signature, click on the space and then Hit CTRL+v This will paste your signature into the signature field.
  7. Save your signature and close the signatures box. If you'd like the signature to be your default one make sure to select it as your default.

Alternative Instructions

If the above instructions did not work for you please go back to the first page and under SIGNATURE VERSION select HTML instead of PC & MAC then follow the instructions below.

  1. Open Outlook and go to File > Options > Mail > Signatures
  2. Click New to create a new signature. Give it a name of your choice and enter a few random characters in the signature itself
  3. Save your signature and close the signatures box, but don't close Outlook
  4. Open Windows Explorer. You'll need to make sure you have hidden files and folders showing (otherwise you won't see the AppData folder) (If unsure, you can check here), then navigate to your folder under this path:
    C:\Users\[YOURUSERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures
  5. In this folder you'll see some files with the name of your new signature. Open the one with the .htm extension in Notepad (or your HTML editor of choice).
  6. Scroll down to the line which has your random characters in your added earlier and replace that line with your HTML signature
  7. Save the HTML file and go back into Outlook. Your Signature should now be updated!
